SYNOPSIScdbRestore [ option... ]
DESCRIPTIONcdbRestore restores cluster configuration database saved using cdbBackup
command.
OPTIONScdbRestore takes several options:
-d backup-directory
The configuration database is restored from the backup-
filename stored in the backup-directory. If this option is
not specified, the default backup directory
(/var/cluster/cdb-backup) is assumed.
-f backup-filename
Name of the backup file in the backup-directory. This option
must be specified.
-c database-header-file
The desired location and name of configuration database
header file can be specified as database-header-file. If
this option is not specified, default configuration database
header file (/var/cluster/cdb/cdb.db) having location
(/var/cluster/cdb) and name (cdb.db) is assumed. The name of
the configuration database header file should match the name
of the configuration database header file saved in backup-
filename.
-help Prints command usage information.
NOTES
All nodes have to be restored at the same time using the backups done at
the same time.
Cluster and FailSafe processes must not be active when cdbRestore command
is run.
EXAMPLE
The following command restores the configuration database under
"/var/cluster/cdb" from the backup file
"cdb_June1998_mymachine.Jun.19.1998.12:30:20.tar.Z" in
"/var/cluster/cdb-backup" directory.
