COMPOSETABLE(5) (International Keyboards) COMPOSETABLE(5)
NAME
composetable - International compose key list
DESCRIPTION
composetable is a list of all valid key sequences that can
be used with the compose mechanism as described in
compose(5).
The list covers code points 0xA0 through 0xFF and several
additional characters of the Unicode Latin 1 code page.
The valid KEYSYMNAME (key map definition name) for the
xmodmap(1) command is enclosed in less-than/greater-than
signs (e.g., <space>). Note the distinction between an
accent key such as <acute> and a dead-key such as
<dead_acute>. The Character Name indicates the KEYSYMNAME
name of the character followed by the Unicode's descriptive
name.
The Two Key Sequence indicates the sequence of the two keys
used in <Shift> <AltGr> or just <AltGr> mode of compose(5)
key input. The characters which are not in the ASCII code
point range or those that are not clearly diplayed are
expressed as KEYSYMNAME.
The Dead-Key Sequence indicates the sequence of the keys
used in <dead-key sequence> mode of compose(5) key input,
where dead-keys must be available on the keyboard layout or
assigned by the use of xmodmap(1) command. Dead-key
sequence that requires multiple lines to be listed are
indicated with a plus sign.
