SDFORM(8)SDFORM(8)NAMEsdform - Format SCSI Disk
SYNOPSISsdform raw_device [ -n ]
DESCRIPTIONsdform executes a Format Unit Command on raw_device. raw_device must be
a SCSI disk. This is normally invoked by the disk(8) program when
initializing a new floppy disk; however, it may be used to re-
initialize a damaged floppy or hard disk. sdform should be used with
extreme caution; all data on the disk being formatted is lost.
OPTIONS-n Normally, sdform prompts the user with "Do you wish to
proceed?". Specifying the -n (no prompt) option avoids this
prompt.
