SYNOPSIS
/etc/init.d/oracleasm script is deprecated.
service oracleasm is deprecated.
DESCRIPTIONoracleasm.init is deprecated, all it's operations can now be accessed
from systemctl and /usr/sbin/oracleasm.
Configuration Operations
configure
Configure properties of the Oracle Linux ASMLib driver. This allows
the administrator to specify the owner of the ASMLib connection.
enable
Configure the ASMLib driver to start on boot. This operation is
supported by systemctl.
disable
Prevent the ASMLib driver from starting on boot. This operation is
supported by systemctl.
start
Load and initialize the ASMLib driver. This is called during boot.
It does nothing if the driver is not enabled. This operation is
supported by systemctl.
stop
Stop the ASMLib driver. This is called during shutdown. This
operation is supported by systemctl.
restart
Stop, then start the driver. This operation is supported by
systemctl.
scandisks
Scan the system for Oracle Linux ASMLib disks. This operation is
supported by /usr/sbin/oracleasm.
Query Commands
status
Display the status of the Oracle ASMLib driver. This operation is
supported by /usr/sbin/oracleasm.
listdisks
List known Oracle ASMLib disks. This operation is supported by
/usr/sbin/oracleasm.
querydisk NAME|DEVICE ...
Determine if a disk belongs to Oracle ASMLib. The disk can be
queried with a device path or with an ASMLib disk name. Multiple
disks can be queried at the same time. This operation is supported
by /usr/sbin/oracleasm.
Disk Management Commands
createdisk NAME DEVICE
Allocate a device for Oracle ASMLib use. The DEVICE path specified
will be labeled NAME and installed where the ASM Library can find
it. This operation is supported by /usr/sbin/oracleasm.
deletedisk NAME
Return a device to the operating system. NAME is the ASM disk name
to deallocate. This operation is supported by /usr/sbin/oracleasm.
renamedisk OLDNAME|DEVICE NEWNAME
Change the label of an Oracle ASMLib disk NEWNAME. The disk to
rename can be specified by OLDNAME or by the DEVICE path. This
operation is supported by /usr/sbin/oracleasm.
