WANIC500I(4) BSD Programmer's Manual WANIC500I(4)NAMEwanic500i - SDL Communications RISCom/N2 high-speed synchronous interface
SYNOPSIS
wanic500i* at wanic500c? channel ?
DESCRIPTION
The wanic500i is the driver for individual interfaces on WANic500 serial
communication controllers. This driver must be a child of the wanic500c
controller driver.
The normal PCI mechanism is use to configure their IRQ and memory ad-
dresses.
The wanic500i interface provides point-to-point bit-synchronous serial
connections with speeds up to 5 Mb/s using HDLC frame format. Supported
synchronous serial encapsulation protocols are described in p2p(4).
The driver currently supports V.35, RS-22, and T1-CSU interfaces. There
are many options which must be supplied, especially for the T1-CSU inter-
face. The wanic500(8) configuration utility is used for this.
