firedns_getname4(3) firedns_getname4(3) NAME firedns_getname4 - Create a query to resolve an IPv4 address to a host‐ name SYNOPSIS #include <firedns.h> -lfiredns int firedns_getname4(const struct in_addr *ip) DESCRIPTION firedns_getname4() creates and sends a request to resolve the IPv4 address ip to a hostname. It returns a file descriptor that should be select(2)'ed upon (read set). When the file descriptor shows ready for reading call firedns_getresult(3) to retrieve the results. RETURN VALUE Returns an integer file descriptor that can be used the same as any other file descriptor. Returns -1 on error.
